resume, I feel better.

His e-mail at 30 days of starting our treatment:
Today I thought in you, before read my emails.
Yes, I feel better, much better and the changes in my skin are
now less visible. I am very happy. Really, really, I feel
better... I am now 18 pounds more... before my symptoms
my weight was 220 pounds...with my disease and the loss of appetite,
it down to 196 pounds... and now I weight 215 pounds.
I look better...I look as a person with 10 years less...I am
38 years old and people said that I look as a person of 28 years
old. …”
At the end of about 8 months of simultaneous treatment, he
stopped HAART completely and that caused the virus to shoot
up again. One should not stop HAART suddenly. That made him
to stop our treatment after 12 months i.e., by December 2003.
Even though he discontinued our treatment based on his Doctor’s
advise, he found a remarkable and unimaginable improvement in
his health. He felt it was impossible but for our treatment
and continued to be in contact with us. His e-mail in December
2004 ( one year after discontinuing our treatment and by now
he cutoff HAART by 50%) :
He has now cut off HAART by 50%. Normally one should
not
stop HAART or reduce the dosage.

The nurse in charging of the AIDS - Triple Therapy - asked
me for your e-mail.
She is very interested because my CD4 are now at 1,100 and
Viral Load: < 50.
She is very impressed because none patient got that level of
CD4 in less
than 2 year and I maintained it without any additional therapy.
I am taking now the half dose of Combivir + complete
dose of Efavirenz. It
was supposed that when someone decrease the dosage the symptoms
will appear suddenly, but in my case, I am healthy with no signs
or symptoms of AIDS disease.
I think your medicine is very effective and the effects
is maintained when the patient stops taking it. I did not take
your medicine for more than 1 year and I feel very good.
She , the nurse, wants to contact you by e-mail because there
are a lot of cases that probably will benefits with your therapy.
Is there a possibility to get your medicine "FOR FREE"
if I get any amount of patients that paid for it?
I am your best example of the good effects of your medicine.

His e-mail in July 2005 reads as follows:
” I apologize for not contact you before.
I am doing well. My CD4 is now at 1,384 (last test on may)
and my Viral Load is not detectable.
I am taking 1 tab of Combivir and 1 caps (600 mg) of Efavirenz.
I do not have any reactions for the drugs and I do not have
any symptoms of the
infection.
The only thing, I have in my body is some skin lesions
on my back that probably are not related with the infection.
I was trying them with Antifungal drugs, antiinflamatory (corticoids)
and I do not get them go out.
Thank you for remember me."
His e-mail on December 02, 2005 reads as follows:
"...For your records...Last CD4/CD8 report:

Viral Load: <50 cel/mm3
What do you think about these results?
I do not have any symptom of the disease.
The problem I have on my back, remember I told you about it,
was diagnoses as "Psoriasis"...not related with HIV.
(I have this problem for about 13-14 years)."

About 3 weeks after starting the
treatment, he sent the following mail:
"Everything is great! I feel good and it seems that the
swelling of my lymph nodes has gone down considerably. I am
not always able to take the medicine right at 7:00pm, but I
always take it just as you advised.
I do exercise 6 days a week, 3 lifting weights and 3 days cardio,
is this OK ? What about drinking? Am I not to drink alcohol
at all ? I want this to work, so I will do whatever it takes..

"..I feel great, the medication is working, I really can
feel it! My friends have told me "you have so much energy"
I feel like a new person. I am so thankful for your
help. I will go back to the doctor at the end of my medication
regiment and have blood test drawn again!

to go over to the University in person and get the results
and then I will e-mail them to you or send them by mail.

Within 25 days after starting treatment, Viral
load reduced to 3031 and Cd4 increased to 280.
The state remained more or less same for 10 months. As he did
not notice further improvement, he discontinued. His condition
remained stable at that level without further treatment for nearly
2 years As the Cd4 count is less, he started HAART in August 2006.
As he did not find any improvement in Cd4 with HAART also, recently
he started our treatment again along with HAART |
